Artis Senior Living Breaks Ground on Memory Care Community in Evesham Township, New Jersey
MCLEAN, Va. – November 7, 2014 – Artis Senior Living broke ground this week on a single story, 35,000 square-foot memory care community in Evesham Township, New Jersey. The property, known as Artis Senior Living of Evesham, will be located on Centre Blvd., approximately 15 miles east of Philadelphia near the intersection of Routes 70 and 73.
The future residence will provide 68 memory care suites for seniors affected by various forms of dementia. Influenced and refined by 20 years of memory care experience, the community was thoughtfully designed to enhance residents’ cognition and quality of life by creating a nurturing and comforting home environment.
The community will be comprised of four “neighborhoods” that serve as intimate living spaces and connect to a “Town Center” with an apothecary center, community center, studio, and a beauty salon/barber shop. Design features include smaller-scale spaces, residential touches and finishes, and the use of themes for way finding and location recognition.
The project was designed by Dennis D. Smith, AIA, Architect of Wichita, Kan., and will be constructed by Wohlsen Construction Company of Lancaster, Pa., with a projected opening in the first quarter of 2016. For more information on this project, please visit the Artis Senior Living website.
