Artis Senior Living Breaks Ground on Third Memory Care Community in Pennsylvania
MCLEAN, Va. – October 28, 2016 – Artis Senior Living, LLC recently broke ground on a 64-bed memory care community, Artis Senior Living of West Shore, for seniors affected by Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia at 150 N. 12th Street in the Lemoyne, Pa.
The single-story, 30,500 square foot community fronts 12th Street, just a block from the borough’s main thoroughfare, Market Street, and less than five miles from Harrisburg.
Influenced and refined by 20 years of operational experience, the new residence is thoughtfully designed to enhance residents’ cognition and quality of life by creating a home environment that is both nurturing and comfortable. The design features include smaller-scale spaces, residential finishes, and the use of themes for wayfinding and location recognition.
Artis Senior Living of West Shore joins communities under construction in South Hills (Bethel Park) and Huntingdon Valley as Artis’ third memory care community in Pennsylvania. Artis also has communities in operation or under construction in Virginia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Ohio. The company is anticipating a grand opening for Artis Senior Living of West Shore in the first quarter of 2018.
