Artis Senior Living to Celebrate Grand Opening of Second Community in Pennsylvania
MCLEAN, Va. – November 20, 2017 – Artis Senior Living will celebrate the grand opening of its second memory care community in Pennsylvania– Artis Senior Living of West Shore – at 150 North 12th Street on Thursday, November 30, 2017, from 3-6 p.m. Artis President and CEO, Don Feltman, will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony alongside Gale E. Gallo, Mayor of Lemoyne at 4 p.m.
“We are excited for the grand opening of our second memory care residence in Pennsylvania, joining our sister community in Huntingdon Valley and we are looking forward to joining the local healthcare community in serving the senior population in Lemoyne and surrounding areas, and feel privileged to be setting a new bar in quality care for seniors affected by Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia,” said Feltman.
The new 64-suite residence will be the first freestanding memory care community in Lemoyne. The community is comprised of four neighborhoods – Washington Heights, Bridgeport, Negley Park, and Hummel Place – that create an intimate environment with familiar living spaces. These neighborhoods connect to a central core, known as the Town Center, with additional amenities including a studio for community gatherings, a studio for life enrichment, a health center and a beauty salon/barber shop.
Executive Director Beth Bond noted, “We thank the West Shore community for their gracious welcome. They are excited about the opportunity to keep loved ones nearby, and we are looking forward to opening our doors to residents.”
Influenced and refined by over 20 years of operational experience, the new residence is thoughtfully designed to enhance residents’ cognition and quality of life by creating a home environment that is both nurturing and comfortable. The design features include smaller-scale spaces, residential finishes, and the use of themes for queuing and location recognition.
