This presentation will define the four moral principles of medical ethics, the conflicts between these principles and how COVID-19 has impacted them.
Learn how Federal and NJ laws relate to medical ethics and define decision-making capacity and the concept of informed consent.
Attendees will be able to describe the legal mechanisms for prospective autonomy and the process that occurs in the absence of legal documents.
Lastly, the participants will analyze case examples and discuss the role of social work in advocating for clients.
